Sectional Dismantles – Trees in built up areas often necessitate the use of a trained arborist to dismantle the tree in sections. Where access permits, for safety we will carry out this work using mobile elevated working platforms. For larger trees, and where it is more cost-effective to do so, we will employ the use of mobile cranes. Our staff are fully trained and experienced in all methods of tree removal.

Pruning – General crown thinning/cleaning, formative pruning, removal of hazardous or structurally compromised branches and stems.

Crown Reductions – The overall reduction of a tree’s canopy is referred to as a crown reduction. This needs to be carried out by an appropriately trained and qualified arborist ensuring standards meet BS3998 relating to tree work.

Crown Lifting– The removal of the lower limbs of a tree’s crown. Often carried out to facilitate vehicular or pedestrian access, or to allow light to filter through the tree.

Crown Thinning – Removing selected branches throughout the canopy area to reduce the overall density of the trees crown area. The aim of this is to increase sunlight through the canopy of the tree.

Deadwood Removal – Whilst deadwood provides an invaluable habitat for all manners of bugs, for safety reasons it is often necessary to remove it, particularly in high traffic areas.

Pollarding – Often carried out in annual or bi-annual cycles, pollarding is a means of maintaining a small canopy of trees in built up areas.

Dangerous Trees – This can be done with the use of a platform if the tree is too dangerous to climb. Lowering techniques are often used to dismantle the tree branch by branch.
